1996: Incorporation of HALUC project into the larger project “Networking of the Libraries of the Hellenic Higher Education Institutions”, funded by the “Operational Programme for Education and Initial Vocational Training I” (O.P. "Education I").

1997: Study and report containing library and information specifications needed for the creation of HALUC - Dekkers (Managing Director of Dublin Core Metadata Initiative) report containing the standards and the techniques needed for the creation of HALUC.

1999: Adoption and installation of GEAC – Advance Information & Library System for HALUC operation.

2000: Incorporation of HALUC project in the “Operational Programme for Education and Initial Vocational Training II” (O.P. "Education II").

2004: Pilot operation of HALUC, creation of technical infrastructure (record configuration programs, etc.).

2007: Release of the 1st version of HALUC –Two days event:” Hellenic Union Catalog – Services & Tools in the appropriation of library users and information scientists” – Release of the 2nd version of HALUC.

2008: Connection of HALUC with the Central Interlibrary Loan Software VDX, as well as with the Hellenic Interlibrary Loan Network “Iris” – Release of the 3nd version of HALUC. 

2009: Release of the 4th version of HALUC. 

2010: Release of the 5th version of HALUC.

2011: Release of the 6th version of HALUC.

2012: Release of the 7th version (February) and of the 8th version (October) of HALUC.
